Privacy policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

This policy explains how OutageWatt ("we", "us"), published by Pearl Digital LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (filing No. 2026-002043540), handles information when you use outagewatt.com. Our address: 30 N Gould St, Ste 100, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. Short version: we collect very little, and we don't sell or share it.

What we collect

  • No accounts. You don't need to sign up to use any tool.
  • Email updates, only if you sign up. When you join our email updates, we store your email address, the page you signed up on and your consent, and use them only to send those emails. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
  • Planner inputs. The appliances and hours you enter are computed in your browser and are not sent to us, unless you choose to share a result link, which carries them in the URL.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically processes technical data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you.

Data stored on your device

The backup planner remembers your last appliance list in your browser's local storage so you don't have to start over. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't run analytics tools at this time. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and describe what is collected and how to opt out.

Your privacy rights (including California)

Depending on where you live, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email hello@outagewatt.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request.

Children

OutageWatt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
