Terms

Terms of use

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms apply to your use of outagewatt.com, published by Pearl Digital LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (filing No. 2026-002043540), 30 N Gould St, Ste 100, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. By using the site, you agree to them.

Information only

OutageWatt provides general information and free tools about backup power for homes during outages. It is not professional, electrical, medical, financial, tax or legal advice.

Accuracy

We work to keep specs and prices accurate and show the date each one was checked. Makers change prices, models and firmware at any time, and installed prices vary by home and region. We don't guarantee that any information on the site is complete, current or error-free. The maker's current spec sheet, your installer's written quote and your utility are always the final word.

Tools give estimates

Our calculators produce estimates based on the values you enter and on stated assumptions. Real-world results vary with weather, obstructions, firmware, temperature, battery age, appliance condition and equipment. Never rely on an estimate alone to power medical equipment: talk to your doctor and your equipment supplier, and register with your utility's medical baseline or priority restoration program if one exists.

Electrical safety: never plug a power station, generator or vehicle into a wall outlet to feed your house (“backfeeding”): it can kill line workers and neighbors. Connecting backup power to a home panel requires a transfer switch or interlock installed by a licensed electrician. Run fuel generators outdoors only, far from doors and windows, with working carbon monoxide alarms.

Third-party links

The site links to third-party websites, some of which may be affiliate links. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content, products, prices or policies.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt it, overload it, scrape it at scale or access it in ways it isn't designed for.

Limitation of liability

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pearl Digital LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its tools.

Trademarks

OutageWatt is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tesla, Enphase, FranklinWH, Ford, GM or any power station brand. Product names and product photos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products. Other product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with a new date at the top.
